ABRSM supports Sing Up Awards

SingerABRSM, the exam board of the Royal Schools of Music, is delighted to announce an exciting new collaboration with Sing Up, the UK-based organisation providing inspirational and affordable singing resources and support to primary schools.

As of this month and throughout this academic year ABRSM will support the Sing Up Awards, which give participating schools a framework and incentive for developing their singing activities.

'Sing Up has increased the opportunities for children across the UK to participate in music-making,' said Leslie East, ABRSM Chief Executive. 'We are delighted to support the Sing Up Awards and celebrate the achievements of schools that have made a commitment to singing and to giving their pupils the opportunity to develop their musical skills. We are very proud to be part of this venture.'

Sing Up’s Chief Executive Michelle James also welcomed the collaboration: 'With the ABRSM’s expertise in running their worldwide graded exams and music medals and over 100 years’ experience bench-marking musical achievement for musicians of all ages and abilities, we’re looking forward to working with them to develop our Sing Up Awards,' she said.
